- Pulse valves fire a short, high-volume burst of compressed air into a dust collector's blow pipe to knock filter cake off the bags or cartridges. Pulse duration is typically 50 to 200 milliseconds. The whole dust collector cleaning cycle is built around them.
- Integral pilot pulse valves have the solenoid mounted directly on the valve body and live inside the clean-air plenum. Remote pilot valves separate the solenoid from the valve, with tubing running between them. Use remote when wiring access to the plenum is restricted, or for explosion-proof installations where the solenoid has to live in a rated enclosure outside the dust collector.
