- A pressure transducer takes a pressure input and converts it into a proportional electrical output (typically 0-5 V, 0-10 V, or millivolt). Similar to a transmitter but usually with a non-loop-powered output and less signal conditioning. Common in OEM equipment, machine control, and test work where the user provides excitation power and the receiving electronics handle linearization.
- 0-5 V and 0-10 V DC for general industrial and OEM. Millivolt outputs (typically 2-3 mV/V of excitation) for direct interface to data acquisition. 4-20 mA when the unit is technically a transmitter. Ratiometric outputs (where output is proportional to supply voltage) for automotive and battery-powered applications. Digital outputs (CAN, SPI, I2C) for embedded systems. Match the output to what the receiving device expects.
